Solange Designed Two of the Dresses in Her ‘Cranes in the Sky’ Video

It’s been 4 days since Solange released her fourth album A Seat at the Table and many are still absorbing its brilliance. Not only has Solange proven to be an incredible vocalist and lyricist, she also had a hand in the album’s striking visuals.
On Sunday she released videos for two songs — Cranes in the Sky and Don’t Touch My Hair — and the internet immediately went wild over the stunning imagery.

And it seems at least two of the dresses for the Cranes in the Sky video were designed by Solange herself. Fashion blog Superselected reports that Solange designed the pink ‘trash bag’ dress.

And about a month ago, Solange mentioned creating a dress on Instagram. She posted a picture of herself in the purple yarn dress with the cpation;

been hanging out with @carlota_guerrero too long…. I fucked round and made a dress out of yarn

It also makes an appearance in the Cranes video.
