4 Christmas Party Styles for Short Natural Hair

christmasupdo

‘Tis the season and for most of us this means office parties as well as family dinners. If your hair is short, sometimes it can be difficult to find a pretty style that makes you not feel awkward. I do feel that many naturals do not fully enjoy their hair because they are waiting for it to grow longer but at every hair stage, it is really possible to style your hair to perfection. Here are a few styles that I have found that would really work on hair that is 4-6 inches long.

1. Flat twist and Flexi Rod Curl updo

This is such a pretty and super girly style. You would need to avoid humidity if you want to keep the curls in the front, so it is perfect for a non-dancing type of party

Products Used:
Bobby pins and flexi rods
Entwine Afrodisia 9 Leave In Conditioner
Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioner
Lottabody Setting Lotion
Nume Arganics Argan Oil
EcoStyler Olive Oil Gel

2. Flat twist out on a tapered hair cut

Shaping your hair is a great way to really start to enjoy short hair. A tapered cut can really enhance the appearance of your hair and flatter your face as well.

3. Perm rods on short hair

Perm rods are pretty perfect for short hair and create more defined curls. The results you get do depend on your hair texture and the size of the rods you use

4. Perm rods on a TWA

This is another variation of the perm rod set on hair with a larger curl and which is shorter. The result is slightly different from video 3 but the final effect is still a more defined and shaped curl.

Perm rods
VO5 moisture milk conditioner
Jane Carter curl defining cream
